Going through a pregnancy is in and of itself very stressful on your body but the benefits of what is to come,  another life makes it worth it. Throw in heartburn and this can be a very difficult period in a woman’s life.

So we know the risks of what to expect through each trimester of the pregnancy but probably were not aware that during the 2nd-trimester changes in the body as it grows causes undue pressure causing stomach contents to back up into the esophagus which causes heartburn.
