Indigestion, when you get it, is a pretty painful and uncomfortable feeling that drives you to over the counter medications for relief. This is also known as acid indigestion.

This feeling usually comes with a burning sensation in the chest or upper abdomen. If you understand the layout of the esophagus and windpipe in relation to the heart this feeling makes so much sense because the heart lies behind the windpipe and esophagus hence the word heartburn.

Heartburn is usually the introduction of stomach acid into the esophagus due to a leaky Sphincter. There are a number of causes such as food, drinks, stomach weight, etc.
